Catbird’s original dimensional bird mark on a pale blue background.
A simple geometric construction of a gray catbird using 3D forms, including half a sphere for the head, a cone shape for the beak, and a sphere for the eye.

Catbird brings together two parts of my practice: designing an interface and building the software behind it. It is an independent native software project, developed in Swift.

A character for the software

The bird mark starts with a few simple shapes: a rounded head, a circular eye, and a pointed beak. A dimensional finish gives that small set of forms a distinct character.

The light and dark versions keep the same silhouette. The identity shown here is original artwork from 2024.
